Our client is a global leading IPP and is looking for a Connection Engineer who will manage aspects related to the connection of wind, photovoltaic and storage farms to the Public Electricity Distribution and Transmission Network. This role is based in France.

You will provide technical support and work closely with the Origination, Development and Construction Project Managers on any issue related to Grid Connection activities.

The main responsibilities of this role include ensuring permanent contact with the Electricity System Operators (ENEDIS and RTE) and ensure the follow-up of the S3RENR subject. You will also be confident in representing our client during the various commissions related to the connection (the connection commission of the FEE, the connection commission of the SER, the Committee of Users of the Electricity Distribution System, and the Committee of Users of the Electricity Transmission System.

You will possess demonstrable experience in technical aspects with regards to the development of HVB substations as well as be confident in your ability to design electrical installations, create technical parts related to the filing of building permits and be experienced in providing technical support to Development Project Managers on all technical subjects relating to HVB substations.

Skills and education

Your degree will be an Engineering or Master’s degree at a Bac+5 level with a specialisation in electrical engineering and at least 2 years’ experience. You must be fluent in French and English and be able to travel internationally and have a B permit.
